From Mendrisio to you: The eco-conscious tale of our work trousers

According to the European Textile Labelling Regulation, textiles must be labelled, e.g. with information on the fibre or instructions on care. The information on “Made in” labelling, however, is voluntary. They are often not very meaningful, because it is often very difficult to prove the origin of processed raw materials.

We can say for sure that our main product, the work trousers, are cut, embroidered, fitted and sewn by a team of women in the very south of Switzerland, in Mendrisio. The production of the fabrics of the cinnamon brown and olive green trousers , from weaving to finishing to quality control, takes place beforehand 20 km away in northern Italy, resulting in a very short supply chain and ensuring a positive environmental balance for the trousers. The fabric of the dungarees is produced in Czech republic. The trousers are also equally sewn in the south of Switzerland, in Mendrisio.
From Mendrisio, the finished trousers travel by train through the Gotthard to Schaffhausen, where they were designed – also by a team of women – and now await their use in outdoor settings.
